[orange]Beast Servants[/orange]
While any master vampire can make a human servant, it is much rarer for there to be a Beast servant. A vampire capable of calling beasts must be strong enough to create a link between himself and the lycanthrope in question. The Lycanthrope must also be the animal that the Vampire can call. The connection between the two is not as intimate as that between Vampire and Human Servant. The stronger the lycanthrope at marking, the more control he/she will have over how the relationship runs. An Alpha Beast Servant is capable of greater resistance to his/her Master and can keep the Master from entering their mind.
Like creating a human servant, there are four marks required to create the bond between vampire and lycanthrope. They cannot be voluntarily removed. A lycanthrope, however, has a greater chance to survive the death of the Master Vampire due to their own non-human nature. They will still be driven insane by the result of the vampire's death. While this is usually a voluntary relationship, the marks can be forced upon a servant without their consent. The longer the connection has existed, the graeter chance that both master and servant will be killed.
Unlike a Human Servant, a Beast Servant doesn't gain so much as have his/her impressive abilities heightened above the typical powers of a lycanthrope. An Alpha Lycanthrope is a dangerous enemy, a Beast Servant Alpha is like a force of nature.
[orange]Process of Creating a Human Servant[/orange]
- First Mark: The Vampire shares his/her life-force with the lycanthrope. This can go unnoticed by the human as there are no visible signs of this occuring. The servant may also feel like they have fallen into the vampire's eyes.
- Second Mark: The Vampire sends his/her energy to the human in the form of an illusion of two flames in the air. Usually, the flames are in the shade of the vampire's eyes. These will float towards the lycanthrope until they have melded into their own eyes, causing it to glow for a few moments.
- Third Mark: The Vampire will drink from the Lycanthrope while giving them a bit of their own blood. The pair will share memories with one another.
- Fourth Mark: The Lycanthrope will drink from the Vampire while the Vampire intones a ritual phrase. The words are up to the vampire but the meaning is always the same. Two as one.
[orange]Benefits of Marking[/orange]
First Mark: The first mark merely grants the vampire a link to his/her beast servant. The Lycanthrope's natural abilities will also be heightened. A higher pain threshold and an immunity to almost all the mind tricks of their Master. They also gain limited resistance to being rolled by another Vampire.
Second Mark: By this point, the vampire can survive being starved by syphoning energy from their servant. They can also enter the servant's dreams to communicate if denied any other method. They Lycanthrope merely becomes stronger in their abilities.
Third Mark: At this point, the lycanthrope and vampire have a much stronger connection. The two can communicate with one another directly so long as the lycanthrope is conscious. Memories, thoughts and emotions can be shared between the two.
Fourth Mark: This is the final step in marking a servant. This step fully binds the two together. The Lycanthrope's already impressive longevity will match that of the Vampire, they will not age but remain forever stuck as they were at the moment of marking. They will know each other's mind as intimately as they know thier own. Any injuries to one can affect the other. At this point, the lycanthrope can draw on the vampire's strength when needed and vice versa.
